DISTINCTION
Collected over many years, each frame is chosen for its history and craftsmanship. Antique or ornate, no two are ever the same. Many of my paintings are conceived with a particular frame in mind — its scale, patina, and character guiding the work created to live within it. In this way, frame and painting become inseparable, forming rare, one-of-a-kind works of art elevated by their union.
THE ARTIST'S HAND
I work in deliberate layers of plaster, pigment, and charcoal, sometimes touched with leaf or other elements for depth and dimension. Each surface is built slowly, allowing texture and color to settle into a quiet rhythm. Often, the inspiration begins with a frame from my collection — its history, scale, and character guiding the creation of a painting made uniquely for it. My process is one of restraint and intention, seeking to reveal rather than overwhelm — creating works that feel unearthed, timeless, and alive with atmosphere.
